RAINFOREST Seafoods, in collaboration with National Baking Company, two Saturdays ago kicked off the Christmas season with their fifth annual children’s treat at its distribution centre on Slipe Road in Kingston.
The organisation said in a release that the Christmas treat was open to children from the surrounding communities, who are ages four to 12 years.
The children were treated to games, gifts and nutritious meals throughout the day, the release said. The Christmas treat also featured a real-life Santa Claus who took pictures and handed out gifts to the children, which Rainforest Seafoods said was a definite crowd-pleaser.
Christmas music was played at the event, bringing early Christmas cheer and spirit to the children, who enjoyed dancing and singing along to the festive music, the release continued.
The children also enjoyed the obstacle course bounce-a-bout provided, and taking turns running through the course and going down the slide.
Rainforest Seafoods said, despite the rain on the day of the event, the children were thrilled and grateful to be treated to a fun-filled day.
“Our annual Children’s Christmas Treat is a special occasion for the company to spread happiness and Christmas cheer to these deserving children in the communities within which we operate, which gives them the opportunity to experience the true Christmas spirit,“ Bethany Young, Rainforest Seafoods marketing manager is quoted as saying.
